"French protestors rebelling against their country's job law reforms frequently damn them by calling them Anglo Saxon.
The inference being that in socio-economic policy there are two strategies.
One is that preferred by countries like Britain and the US, which demands - perhaps above everything else - flexibility in the market place and the workforce.

The other is the French way which relies upon tradition and protection.
Job law reform is seen by many French as an Anglo Saxon assault on Gallic norms.
Well, Vladimir Cordier is the French author of a new guide to working in the UK. And he argues IN FAVOUR of the Anglo Saxon way, saying that what France needs - among other things - is its own Margaret Thatcher.

He began by giving me his opinion on the current jobs controversy in France…
